WEST HAM EYEING ROONEY 2.0
West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing highly rated Hull City youngster Keane Lewis-Potter who has been likened to Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney. Hammers boss David Moyes is said to be a fan of the Hull City wonderkid as reported by Hull Live. It is believed that West Ham United are eyeing a bid for the player ahead of the winter transfer window in January.
Hull Live revealed that 20-year-old Keane Lewis-Potter has his sights set on Premier League football, but he won’t push for the move next year.
Newly promoted Premier League outfitBrentford wanted to sign the new Wayne Rooney in the summer, but they were unable to secure his transfer. The Bees made a bid of £8m for the young Hull City playerand it was turned down by the Championship club. The Tigers believe that they can receive at least £20m forLewis-Potter just like they did with Jarrod Bowen a few seasons ago. West Ham United paid £20m to sign Bowen from the Tigerssome seasons back and the player has gone on to become an important part of the Hammers setup.
Brentford and West Ham United are not the only teams keen on signing Lewis-Potter. Another Premier League side in Leicester City are also interested in the player.
Lewis-Potter has previously talked about modeling his game after Wayne Rooney and West Ham fans would be hoping that manager David Moyes can use his influence in the race to sign the player.
