United boss Wayne Rooney has lost his second game as aMajor League Soccer (MLS) manager following the 1-0 loss atNew England Revolution. He had a record of one win, one draw and one loss in his first three games on the D. C. United sidelines before the game against New England Revolution on Saturday night. Wayne Rooney would have managed D. C. United from the sidelines for more games if not for his work permit issues. He had to wait for several weeks before it was possible to manage his new team from the sidelines. Rooney was able to manage D. C. United from the sidelines once he had been given his work permit.

Wayne Rooney has a record of one win, one draw and two losses from four games since he started to manage his new team from thesidelines. In his first game, D. C. United scored twice in stoppage time to overturn a first half deficit and pick up a rare win at the expense of Orlando City. Brazilian star Junior Urso scored the first goal of the game in the colours of Orlando City and he was on the way to being the recipient of the winning goal before D. C. United scored two late goals. Chris Durkinwas responsible for the equaliser in the first minute of stoppage time before Greek star TaxiarchisFountas scored the winner in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

In his second game, Rooney slumped to his first defeat following the 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Charlotte FC. Rooney and his players bounced back from the Charlotte defeat with the goalless draw at home to New York Red Bulllast weekend. In his fourth and latest game, Rooney suffered a second MLS defeat after Spanish winger Carles Gil scored the only goal of the game for a 1-0 victory for New England Revolution
