ROONEY STUNNED BY GOAL
Wayne Rooney supported Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse’s awesome goal against Chelsea as the English Premier League’s best goal for the season. The striker Peter Crouch seemed to have made the 2011- 2012 title for his long distance hit against Manchester City in March. But Cisse delivered a late great access on Wednesday night in Newcastle’s 2-0 win which may now take the prize.
The twenty six year old let loose a dramatic sluing shot from the left channel in the injury time that travelled above Petr Cech before plummeting into the right side of the Chelsea goal area.
Wayne Rooney, who was applauded for his over the head kick against opponent Manchester City was coronated last season of English Premier League’s goal of the season, said Cisse’s twenty five yard hit merited this year’s admiration way above his past England teammate Crouch.
The Manchester United superstar tweeted that Cisse’s goal is the best one for this season.
Cisse’s bolt further added his own outstanding volleyer at Stamford Bridge just as Newcastle moved on away from Chelsea to be in the top four of EPL’s ranking. The Senegalese’s strike took the tally to thirteen goals in just twelve games ever since joining Newcastle in the month of January.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew gladly said of his star number nine that he just feels he is going to score each time he has an opportunity. He took the opportunity, clearly at the end of the match which is possibly the best goal of the season. It was nothing but magnificent, quipped New Castle Manager.
The Chelsea players too could not figure out what actually transpired and looked stunned, whereas Pardew was seen enjoying a joke with Blues attacker Didier Drogba.
