ROONEY DISHES OUT DERBY INJURY UPDATE
Ahead of their match against Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, Derby County manager Wayne Rooney has revealed his team’s injury news as he hopes to have a decent squad that can battle for a positive result upon their trip to Blackburn on Friday night.

First on the list is Lee Gregory. He confirmed that the striker who is currently on loan at the club from Stoke City will not be participating in the game and will also miss the rest of the season after he sustained a hamstring injury. On George Edmunson, Rooney said the player is also not going to be in action as he is still not fully fit and needs about a week to regain full match fitness.
The manager did dish out a bit of good news, however, as he confirmed that defensive star Matt Clarke is still in doubt to partake in the game, but there is a major replacement for him, in the person of Nathan Byrne. Byrne has been passed fit to start the game after also initially been thought to be in doubt for the match.
He was absent as his side suffered defeat at the hands of Norwich City at home due to a knock he suffered in their defeat against Reading last Monday.
Both Blackburn and Derby have a huge game on their hands and both need to win the match as they have not been enjoying much success in their previous outings. This means that one should expect a tricky and interesting tie with both sides eager to emerge victoriously.
