Mourinho keen to stay
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho stated that he wants to remain with the Red Devils for the long term.
The Portuguese manager said that he is enjoying his time working in Manchester and that he would want to extend his contract if possible.
The former Chelsea manager said that it was his dream job to manage Manchester United and that if ever the owners gave him a new contract he will not hesitate to sign it. He said that he has a long-term vision for the club and that he is looking forward to winning trophies.
He said that he had been so far with his career at Manchester United and he believes that the club is on a good path.
He admitted that he does not have the intention of signing any new players in the transfer window and he believes that he can be successful with the current players at his disposal. This might infuriate many Manchester United fans as they were hoping that the Portuguese manager would bring in some additional players during the January transfer window in order to help them challenge with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
Jose Mourinho, on the other hand, believes that he has a good squad at the moment and that he regrets that he is not giving some players the chance to play in the first team. He said that players such as Young and Depay deserve to be playing regularly but at the moment there are so many good players in the team and he is finding it hard to make everyone happy.
He said that the players are progressing now and are adapting to his playing style. He believes that the club will go on a winning run that will allow them to climb up the table.
