ENGLAND SET UP FRIENDLIES
England played friendly matches against Germany and Chile earlier this month but due to a consistent knee problem that Danny Welbeck has been going through in this season he was called up by Roy Hodgson alongside his teammate Michael Carrick who has failed on doing enough work in this season in order for the head coach of England to find any interest in calling him up ahead of other players.
The situation of Danny Welbeck gets even more complicated and that is not considering his persistent injury that has kept him in the sidelines on a number of Manchester United matches of this season.
With Rooney and Van Persie being ahead of the pecking order in the team of David Moyes there is little doubt on who will be the 1st choice strikers for Manchester United and even though the 23 years old player can be deployed in the left wing, the competition is getting tougher as Adnan Januzaj, Antonio Valencia and Marouane Fellaini are at the disposal of the Scottish coach.
His ability to play in tight spaces, linking up with his teammates and holding up the ball are undeniable but with all the options available for David Moyes in the attacking department of Manchester United his place in the starting lineup of the English club is not secured and if his injuries keep on arriving then he might not be seeing any playing time at all in this season.
The chance for him to become an important figure for Manchester United is being delayed or stopped altogether by a number of players that are forcing him on making undesired roles for United and in order for that to change, he faces a monumental task ahead of him.
