AWFUL START
Following the awful start of the season that Manchester United experienced, many people were already taking out the club of David Moyes out of the equation as they considered their protection of the Premier League title already over.
However according to Wayne Rooney, the charge at the title is far from over and he alongside his teammates is ready to prove their doubters wrong in the 2nd half of the season.
“I think we had some poor results at the start of the season but we are starting to show some real quality. In the last few weeks we are having a go. We are working hard, we are fighting for each other and we are ready for the challenge. Hopefully, we can surprise a few people.” Rooney said.
Recently, Wayne Rooney has been placed at the spotlight of the media as many clubs are keeping close attention on. The English forward stated that he wanted to leave Manchester United ever since reports emerged suggesting David Moyes to follow the legacy of Sir. Alex Ferguson and that is why many clubs added him to their wish list.
Moyes and Rooney have experienced problems in the past as they both worked together in Everton but now it seems that their relationship has taken a turn for the better as Moyes has had nothing but praise about the Englishman.
“Wayne played great because he had to do two or three different jobs to do. They tell me that’s his 150th Premier League goal today and to score one like that, a nice volley, was really well taken. The pressure he put on the boy for the own-goal was great too, to get it out wide and get in the box.”
